| Kent Hospital Welcomes 2010 Resident Physicians To Graduate Medical Education Program |

Six new residents joined the existing 17 for a total of 23 residents in the Emergency Medicine program and two new residents joined the Family Medicine program for a total of six residents. There are currently a total of 29 resident physicians enrolled here.
“I am very pleased to welcome our new residents to Kent Hospital,” said Sandra Coletta, Kent Hospital president and CEO. “We have attracted an extremely talented and diverse group of professionals who have come to Kent from all across the country. I am sure this will be a wonderful learning experience in emergency and family medicine.”
Kent Hospital, a Care New England Hospital, is affiliated with the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine, providing clinical rotations for third and fourth year medical students, and graduate medical training programs in Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine. In addition, a new fellowship in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine has just been created, as well as an Internal Medicine Residency. Both are expected to accept residents for the 2011 academic year.
The Graduate Medical Education program is administrated and overseen by Polly E. Leonard, D.O., Director of Medical Education; Jessica Manyan, D.O., Program Director of Family Practice Residency and Robert Dinwoodie, D.O., Chief of Emergency Medicine.
