Our Dining Services

The Food & Nutrition department at Kent Hospital makes every effort to provide to the hospital community the highest quality food and medical nutrition therapy in the most effective manner possible. Our goal is to support CNE's vision; to create a community of healthier people.

The Food & Nutrition department is responsible for all patient food and nutrition related activities of which include nutrition oversight by registered dietitians for our admitted patients.

In addition, we are proud to offer an innovative dining program called At Your Request. This is a room service dining program allowing the patient to simply pick up the phone and order their meal. The menu is a restaurant style menu which offers a wide variety of food selections designed to enhance your experience as though you are eating in your favorite restaurant. Upon admission to your room, the room service menu will be on the bedside table. You may order your meals when you choose to eat between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Blue Wave Café

Our staff and visitors are invited to dine in the Blue Wave Café, located on the first floor between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The cafeteria offers a wide variety of menu options including different hot entrées daily, grilled foods, deli station, and soup and salad bars. We also offer a variety of vegetarian and gluten free options. Look for the "Mindful" symbol identifying the items as healthier alternatives.

Concourse Café

The Concourse Café is an upscale sandwich and coffee shop featuring Seattle's Best coffee brand. A tasty selection of sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts are made fresh daily by our chef's at Kent. The Café is located on the second floor near the hospital entrance across from the gift shop.

Hours of operation:

  • Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m.to 9:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday through Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Weekends 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m
