Physical Therapy
Our experienced and licensed physical therapy staff have been providing one-on-one treatment to restore independent and productive lives for our patients since 1951. Our physical therapists evaluate and treat people of all ages who are physically disabled due to injury or illness that include, but are not limited to:
- Sprains/strains (especially of the back, neck, ankle, and shoulders).
- Orthopedic post operative repair.
- Fracture rehabilitation.
- Neurologic impairments (stroke, head injury, Parkinson's ALS, MS).
- Arthritis.
- Prosthetic Training.
- Falls.
- Amputation and prosthetic training.
Specializing in manual therapy and neuro-developmental treatment, our physical therapists service the continuum at Kent, from inpatient, to the rehabilitation center, to home care, to outpatient. Patients may enter and exit the continuum at any point, or may utilize all services if necessary.
Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists aim to restore the skills necessary for people to lead independent and productive lives. Occupational therapy is the use of purposeful activity to achieve functional outcomes. The occupational therapists work to develop adaptive responses of individuals with disabilities in the areas of:
- Arthritis.
- Neurologic impairments.
- Occupational injuries.
- Upper extremity orthopedic injuries (including fractures, tendonitis, hand trauma and carpel tunnel syndrome).
- Burns.
- Traumatic brain injuries.
- Developmental disabilities.
- Splinting.
